Blaxland Riverside Park

Lately we've been hearing from a lot of mums who love a cafe that's family friendly - which is why I posted about Armory Wharf Cafe a few weeks back. Since then, a few of our readers have contacted us to say that they loved the tip and have been back more than once. They also mentioned how good the park nearby is. Thats when it dawned on me, that if the Armory Cafe post wasn't convincing enough, sharing pics of the Blaxland Riverside Park just might seal the deal.

I can assure you, it's nothing like your old 90's local park swing set. We're talking state of the art, architectural, arty type stuff. This shit is serious.

Blaxland Riverside Park is spread out over several hills in the park area nearby toe the cafe and features swings, slides, rock climbing walls, nets, mazes, flying foxes, water fountains, sand pits and a great canteen for when the kids are feeling peckish. But if you've made the trek out to play in the park, I definitely recommend grabbing a bite at Armory. The park also features a bike track, making it a great spot for kids who are just learning to ride.

This isn't a 20 minute express visit type of park. Once you visit, you'll get it. You just might want to pack a picnic blanket, some snacks and the camera and spend the day on a playdate with the kids.
